FRI-18-DEC-2015

We met friends at DFW airport in the Admiral's Club.  Boarded our flight DFW to San Jose, CA (they would not give us a flight DFW to San Francisco).  During this trip, <> became 6 foot tall and you can see is taller than Aunt <>.

And will be as tall as Uncle <> soon

We flew to San Jose and met <> and <> who live an hour away

We then Uber'd it to SFO.  He said we were his first ride from SJC and today was the first day SJC allowed Uber to operate from SJC.

We checked in and went to the Sakura Lounge (means Cherry Blossom).

The seats became full beds.  Dilemma is to eat multiple meals that will be served during the flight or watch movies on the huge screen or to sleep or to look out the windows.

I am in row 2.  Business class is right behind me.  There are two seats in business class in the width that I have for my seat.  In coach, there are three seats in the width I have to myself.

Figuring out how to use the controls.  That is the front left door you can see beyond the curtain.  We come in from that door and go out of that door.  We never see anyone else on the plane.

We were each provided pajamas.  It is not like they have 8 in their hand and walk through and say here, then go to the next person and say here, and so on.  It is one at a time.  One pajama handed to you with a smile with two hands and a bow. They go back behind the curtain.  Get another pajama.  Come back to next person and smile and hand pajama with two hands and bow.  And so on to each of the eight people.

Changed into pajamas.  These are so comfy.

<> and I have our own flight attendant and <> and other person have their own. <> and other person have their own. 1 flight attendant for 2 people.  What a ratio.

The forward camera of the iPhone 5c is not very good

And a wonderful handwritten thank you note from the purser and two senior flight attends who took care of us and are in the picture

The Purser is in the white jacket.  They are all so sweet and so humble.  They are crouching down so they are not not in the way of us.  They were so short to begin with, we said no no no, please stand, they are like no no no, we come down.  Look at the curtains behind us, they are thick and the business class can't see what we do or don't do.  Very private two row cabin for us.  We are all in our JAL pajamas.

The ottoman doubles as a bench seat for a second person so you can have a meal or drink together (it has a seat belt as well) or you can just sit and chat.  The guy in the background had the 2A window seat and his wife had the aisle next to <>.  The divider can go up and down with a push of that button you can see.  The table moves back and forth.

This is Yoda taking my daughter's mattress away and getting her seat ready for landing.  Note the very heavy curtains in the front that block out the noise from the galley.

Also, these flight attendants do not chat with each other and do not discuss personal items or their trips amongst each other.  I am saying that because on the other carrier I fly exclusively (I won't mention who), all I hear is these loud conversations between flight attendants that I really don't want to hear.  I know all about their personal lives, about their vacations, about their complaints against the airline, blah blah blah.  I really don't want to hear any of that.

We are out of immigration (took forever at 5 AM) and customs.  Our flight is the first one listed on the top left, JL 1 with codeshare AA8400 and MH9101

Place to get tickets if you have not already purchased them.  I already bought my tickets ahead of time.

Can't wait to push all the buttons on the toilet.   Click on the picture, look at each picture and read 1 through 14, it is hilarious
